São Miguel, Azores

THE LABORATORY

Phytosphera Lab

Phytosphera Azorica stems from a desire to harness the identity and endogenous resources of the Azores, and is deeply rooted in the archipelago’s unique biodiversity. Our cosmetic research and development laboratory translates the natural richness of the islands into effective, safe and sustainable formulations.

With a solid scientific background in Biology and Chemistry, and a team with over 25 years of research experience in plant physiology, molecular and developmental mechanisms, and natural compound metabolism, we combine academic rigour with a genuine passion for the Azorean natural world.

Our facilities in São Miguel are equipped for cosmetic formulation, emulsification, quality control and finished product packaging.
